Graduation Information & Counseling
Our Downieville High School's course schedule is built to ensure that junior and senior high school students take a robust array of courses to meet their college and career goals. Due to our school's small size, we are limited in what we can teach in person, and so rely on online platforms or distance learning options for some of our California a-g courses, advanced placement courses, and career technical education courses. All students taking a college course for dual/concurrent enrollment or an online course has a dedicated period in their schedule for that course. Additionally, our Online Learning Specialist consistently progress monitors, supports, and communicates with students and parents/guardians to ensure students are successful as they navigate the digital platforms and learning models.
Our College & Career Readiness Team is dedicated to providing the following services to our students:
- Career and College Exploration
- ASVAB, SAT (In-School), PSAT, and Career/Aptitude Testing
- Career Fairs
- College Field Trips
- Work-Based Learning (Job Shadows, Unpaid Internships, Paid Internships)
